Explore Marketing Q4 Sales Missions

As you plan your activities for Q4 2019, remember to include some time to connect with tour operators to either introduce your products to them and/or provide them with the latest updates so they can promote your products to their clients more effectively. From December 2 - 6, Explore Marketing will once again lead a sales mission to Los Angeles where suppliers and DMOs can connect with receptive tour operators handling inbound markets such as Japan, China, and a variety of European countries such as Germany. Then, the following week, we will continue on to Germany from December 9 - 13 to meet with key tour operators for product conversations and trainings. To secure your spot, click here.


 

Early Access to the Empire State Building

Twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 23 - December 31, 2019, New York Explorer Pass holders will have exclusive access to the Empire State Building before it opens to the general public. Entry begins at 7:30AM, offering a full 30-minute access before the deck opens to the public. Guests can enjoy spacious observatory experience as an exclusive New York Explorer Pass perk.

Combine breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe with sumptuous food at various food festivals in the region over the coming months. Don’t miss the 10th annual Sample the Sierra, the only farm-to-fork festival celebrating the bounty and heritage of the Sierra Nevada region on September 14. The event brings together local chefs and restaurants with neighboring producers to create mouth-watering samples paired with the appropriate wine and brew to satisfy every palette. For those who prefer to sip on beer, Oktoberfest at Lake Tahoe is the place to be from October 5 - 6. Now in its 25th year at Camp Richardson Historic Resort and Marina, Oktoberfest activities include German food and desserts, live music, balloon art, yodeling contest and much more for a family-friendly outing. At the end of October, from October 26 - 28, the 9th annual South Lake Tahoe Food and Wine Festival arrives at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe to offer guests a weekend of great food, fine wine, and high spirits. The festival kicks off with a Whiskey Tasting offering a variety of whiskeys from around the world which are “crafted” using different processes to create amazing varieties of whiskey. The event continues with the “Grand Market Expo” where you can enjoy ongoing, interactive entertainment and more. Mark your calendar



 

Tower Tours San Francisco Adds New Departures to Muir Woods

Tower Tours has added a fourth daily departure on select days of the week to its most popular sightseeing experience from San Francisco - the Muir Woods Tour to see the famous California Redwoods. The new tour departs at 4PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September 2019 with other departures scheduled at 9AM, 11AM and 2PM. Located in a deep valley between Mount Tamalpais and Marin County’s shores along the Pacific ocean, Muir Woods National Monument takes a special place in the hearts of many San Franciscans. Venture Outside of Manhattan Into the Bronx

From hanging sausages to Annabel Lee, the Unlimited Biking Surprising Bronx Tour delves into the little-known delights of the Bronx!
