Explore Marketing Sales Missions
As we reflect on 2018, we want to take this opportunity to thank you - our clients, friends and partners in the travel industry - for your continued support and would like to wish you all the best for the holidays and New Year. Over the course of 2018, we have worked on a number of exciting projects including leading domestic and international sales missions to a number of countries across Europe, Asia, USA, Australia and New Zealand. In addition to discussing our clients’ products with trade partners during these trips, we have also had a series of interesting conversations with trade partners and attained valuable feedback on the market performance and trends. A summary of a presentation given during the RTO Summit Orlando can be found here.
Given the success of our travel trade sales missions, we will expand on these events in 2019. To date, we plan for nine boutique sales missions and decided to limit participation to six organizations per trip to offer maximum exposure and interaction.
Wishing you a wonderful Holiday season and a great new year ahead!

New Underwater Trail at Emerald Bay
On October 1, the California State Parks and the Sierra State Park Foundation opened California’s first Maritime Heritage Underwater Trail at Emerald Bay that leads to four sites in Emerald Bay. The trail leads visitors to a boat graveyard from the 1920’s and 1930’s — and provide those in boats with a chance to peer down into the lake for a glimpse of the past. Scuba and snorkel diving visitors will be able to explore an underwater “trail” of historic features at several sites along the shoreline of Emerald Bay State Park, Lake Tahoe. The Emerald Bay Maritime Heritage (underwater) Trail celebrates the history of Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe’s culture of recreation by way of shipwrecks. The bay is the final resting place of several recreational boats, launches and barges used on the lake during the early 20th century. This was the heyday of the Emerald Bay Resort (1920s and 1930s) and the construction of the Scandinavian “castle,” Vikingsholm (1929).
