Explore Marketing Update - June 2017

Explore Marketing Has A New Client

In 2016, New York City welcomed 60.7 million visitors, an all-time record high with many of these visitors including Central Park as one of their top must-see places and we have exciting news to share! Central Park Sightseeing, a tour company offering tours of Central Park, by bike, foot, pedicab and horse carriage, has joined Explore Marketing as a client beginning June 1. As the travel trade and marketing communications representation firm for Central Park Sightseeing, we are responsible for expanding Central Park Sightseeing’s presence in international key markets such as China, India, Australia, New Zealand and Germany through travel trade efforts and creating awareness of the products through media and public relations campaigns. Whilst majority of visitors explore the most visited urban park in the U.S. by foot, there are many other ways to explore the 843-acre park and Central Park Sightseeing, through its vast array of products and services, can help you and your clients plan a memorable visit to Central Park. To find out more on ways to include Central Park activities to your itineraries, email Stefan Merkl. Clients in the UK can email Sonja Quinn from Worldwide Attractions. We are also expanding our social media presence and would like to invite you to follow us on

Enjoy the quiet at Strawberry Fields while paying homage to the late Beatle, John Lennon, before taking a lunch break at Tavern on the Green, a beautifully renovated tavern built in 1870, also a symbol of Classic New York having hosted politicians and celebrities since its opening. Routes for private groups can be customized to suit your theme and to ensure a comfortable ride, Central Park Sightseeing offers Cannondale bikes. For further information, email Stefan Merkl.

Water Activities At South Tahoe

Calling all water sports and water activities enthusiasts. Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America, offers many options for action water sports and water activities. From paddle boarding to kayaking and swimming, this is the place to cool down this summer. Kiva Beach, one of the nicest beaches in Tahoe South, offers a wide sandy beach, shallow warmer waters, and sweeping views of the Sierra Nevadas whilst Cave Rock is a dramatic rock formation along the shore, with tunnels underneath, created for Highway 50. The deep blue water at Emerald Bay is a must-see. Once in the bay, enjoy the calmer waters, and paddle to the famous Fannette Island. Here you can paddle to the rocks, and climb to the top of the small island, where there sits an old teahouse to explore. For those who prefer something more relaxing, cruise around Lake Tahoe onboard the M.S. Dixie II from Zephyr Cove Resort to Emerald Bay. Zephyr Cove Lodge was built in the early 1900’s as a way station between Virginia City and the booming business of mining silver in the Comstock Lode, so there’s a bit of history that precedes embarking on a two-hour cruise across the 13 mile-wide Lake. What are you waiting for? Pack your bags and sunscreen, and head to Tahoe South now.
