With Tahoe’s national treasure – the lake – filled to capacity after a record breaking winter, and plenty of recreational opportunities and special events scheduled this summer, Tahoe South is in full swing and ready to welcome visitors to its destination.
From heart-pounding athletic competitions to blockbuster concerts and craft brewery events all on-tap, there is something for everyone.
On June 10, the inaugural Lake Tahoe Brewfest will feature craft brew tastings from all over Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas. The event also includes a home brewers competition, live music, arts and craft vendors and food.
For music lovers, throughout summer, a lineup of legendary artists will grace the Harveys Outdoor Arena stage during the Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series. This year’s performers include The Who, Paul Simon, Collie Buddz, Hirie, & DJ Mackle, Train, O.A.R. and Natasha Bedingfield, Lenny Kravitz, Third Eye Blind, Jack Johnson, Slightly Stoopid, with more acts to be announced.
For golf enthusiasts, more than 80 of the biggest stars in sports and entertainment will come together to Tahoe South from July 11 -16 for the American Century Championship – No.1 celebrity golf tournament in the U.S that also raises funds for local and national charities. Last year’s players included Charles Barkley, Aaron Rogers, John Elway, Larry the Cable Guy, Ray Romano, and dozens of Hall of Famers and active NFL players and coaches.
