About California Academy of Sciences
Based in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the California Academy of Sciences is home to a world-class aquarium, planetarium, a 4-story rainforest, and natural history museum—all under one living roof. One general admission ticket gives guests access to all of the Academy's amazing exhibits, including our splashing African penguins and Claude, the Albino Alligator. The exploration doesn’t stop there! Guests can take a VIP Tour to learn about the Academy's 160-year history. Thursday night is NightLife, a 21 and older event with cocktails, music, and differently themed programming every week. NightLife guests can also sign up for a NightLife VIP Tour or reserve a private space with a NightLife Private Lounge. The Academy also has spaces available to rent for daytime meetings and evening events, with capabilities ranging from 30 to 3,000+ guests.
